This book was bound uniformly with the Author’s Edition of Leaves of Grass to form Whitman’s Complete Works as of 1876. The frontispiece photograph is inscribed: “Walt Whitman, born May 31, 1819.”
Also shown is another copy of Two Rivulets inscribed by one of Whitman’s literary executors, Thomas B. Harned, with his book plate.
