Description
Portrait of Colonel Julius A. Andrews, 32nd Texas Cavalry Regiment, Confederate States Army, as a lieutenant colonel. Andrews enlisted in a Texas cavalry battalion in 1861. Within a short time he was promoted to adjutant, lieutenant colonel, and then colonel. The two stars on his collar indicate that he was a lieutenant colonel when this tintype was made. Andrews returned to Texas after the war and lived in Tarrant County. Source: Lawrence T. Jones III.
