“Moira Cullen was the store's first buyer, being so influential that Zula McCauley ranks her with Carrie Neiman in shaping the store's early fashion image. I learned as much from her about the fashion world as from Carrie Neiman. When the store opened its own buying office in New York, Miss Cullen was sent there.” Stanley Marcus, 1978

Zula McCauley

Zula McCauley was the first Advertising Director for Neiman Marcus, coming to the store in 1920, and staying until 1950. She wrote the Neiman Marcus store history in 1947; The First Forty Years and the First Fifty years, 1907-1957
