In opposition to the suffragists, the association used red and pink as their official colors and the rose as their official flower. Hanna wrote, “Sweetest flow’r in all the world / Ev’ry body knows / You’re the emblem of the Anti-Suffrage Cause! You lovely, red, red rose!”
